The annual Youth and Family Volunteer Fair for families and students will be held at the Naperville Municipal City Municipal Center located at 400 South Eagle Street on Tuesday, October 11th from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm. Local nonprofit agencies and organizations will be on hand to showcase their volunteer and advocacy opportunities, enabling students to find service venues that match their interests, major, career goals, and schedules. This free Fair is open to families and all students from area elementary, middle, high school, and colleges, and is an ideal opportunity for youth groups from faith communities, scout troops, and other youth organizations to choose their service projects.
Over 25 nonprofits who need youth volunteers to deliver their services will be participating in this year’s Fair. These are all locally based groups such as: the American Cancer Society, the DuPage Children’s Museum, Loaves and Fishes, 360 Youth Services, the Naperville Public Library, the Naperville Park District, Feed My Starving Children, Naper Settlement, Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, the Morton Arboretum, the Forest Preserve of Will County, and the YMCA. Each organization will have representatives on hand to discuss the exciting opportunities they have for both students and families to positively impact the lives of other people.
