To support our mission of promoting giving and volunteering in DuPage County, Giving DuPage coordinates a number of volunteer-related programs throughout DuPage. Below are programs and events that Giving DuPage hosts year-round with non-profit partners, volunteers, and the community. Giving DuPage offers countless opportunities for individuals, families, businesses, faith-based organizations, and many others with opportunities to give back and help make a difference.

Volunteer Opportunity Portal | Since launching the latest version of the Volunteer Opportunity Portal, Giving DuPage has generated over 750 volunteer referrals. The portal includes hundreds of local nonprofit organizations, promotes nearly 500 active volunteer & service engagement opportunities, as well as promotes upcoming nonprofit events. |
DuPage Human Race | A community event and fundraiser that benefits over 70 non-profit organizations serving DuPage County. In 5 years, the DuPage Human Race has reached over 6,828 people and has raised over $347,500 for 136 local charities. Join the race and help fundraise for your favorite charity! |
Giving Guide | In partnership with the Daily Herald, the Giving Guide is an annual publication listing over 150 local non-profit organizations and ways to give back. The Giving Guide is the print version of the Volunteer Opportunity Portal and is distributed to over 25,000 Daily Herald subscribers, as well as to local libraries, public venues, events, and fairs. |
Volapalooza | A countywide Volunteer Recognition breakfast event that recognizes over 300 volunteers who are making a difference in DuPage County. With over 3,000 non-profits organizations in DuPage County, Volapalooza celebrates the amazing work volunteers do in supporting the non-profits mission. |

ED Network | A place for Executive Directors to share their best practices in quarterly ED Network meetings. Connect and engage with other leaders in the non-profit industry to learn how to better serve your organization to the public. |
NIU Civic Leadership Academy | Accredited and nationally-recognized certificate program in partnership with the NIU Civic Leadership Academy. Courses will be centered on professional development, organizational efficiency, and informed leadership. |
Days of Service/Service Fairs | Giving DuPage organizes large-scale, countywide volunteer events centered on Days of Service. Engage large groups of people such as company employees, schools, local organizations, and others on a dedicated day to give back and make positive changes that benefit the community. |
