Planning Ahead: Charting Your Career Path to Best Benefit You and Your Organization

Welcome to the Nonprofit Newsroom – a one-stop shop for nonprofit organizations to learn about: grant announcements, professional development opportunities, training seminars & workshops, and general bulletins or updates.

This new resource page can help your organization learn about important funding opportunities, develop your staff and stay current with the latest in our local nonprofit sector. The Nonprofit Newsroom page will continually be updated with new events & announcements, so check it often and bookmark the newsroom page as a favorite.  Email [email protected] with your professional opportunity, contact for the event, and a website link for your announcement. We recommend adding your nonprofit organization’s events to the Volunteer Portal.

Program by WSPN

Have you identified the next step in your career? In fundraising and nonprofit work, it is often challenging to identify your career path. Will you do the same job forever? Are you interested in someday having a leadership role at your organization? Are you looking to grow within your current organization? Are you looking to find the right experiences to get ready for the next level?
Speakers Theresa Nihill, chief operating officer of Metropolitan Family Services and Laura Stokes-Gray of Stokes-Gray Consulting will share their experiences in the nonprofit sector. The program will include how long-term career planning will allow you to grow within your organization and will identify what skills you may need to develop on the job or outside of your position.

Registration is limited to 50 attendees and closes at noon on January 17, 2017.

Please note, due to security procedures at Metropolitan Family Services DuPage, there will be no late registration allowed and no walk-in registration. Thank you for understanding.

Please note that parking is limited. There is parking in the lot and on Reber, Illinois, Willow and Washington Streets. The City parking lot nearby is also available. Please adhere to local parking signage.

Registration and coffee begin at 8:00 AM. Program starts at 8:30 a.m.
