Welcome to the Nonprofit Newsroom – a one-stop shop for nonprofit organizations to learn about: grant announcements, professional development opportunities, training seminars & workshops, and general bulletins or updates.

This new resource page can help your organization learn about important funding opportunities, develop your staff and stay current with the latest in our local nonprofit sector. The Nonprofit Newsroom page will continually be updated with new events & announcements, so check it often and bookmark the newsroom page as a favorite.  Email [email protected] with your professional opportunity, contact for the event, and a website link for your announcement. We recommend adding your nonprofit organization’s events to the Volunteer Portal.

We all know people who are volunteering their time to make our communities better. Nominate them for the Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards!

Serve IL is looking for youth, adult, senior, AmeriCorps, Senior Corps, and business nominations. Each region of the state will have one winner from each category for a total of 30 awards.

Nominations are due February 17th. You may submit your nomination online or on paper.

Now in its 8th year, the Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards highlights the service and impact provided by an individual or business.  All nominees will receive a letter of thanks and the winners will be brought to Springfield in April to receive their awards.
