Shefali headshot 2Shefali Trivedi serves as the Executive Director and joined Giving DuPage in September 2013.   Most recently, Shefali worked at DuPage County on environmental initiatives and previously spent seven years working at non-profit organizations, including a small environmental education center in DuPage and a large food bank in Chicago. Shefali brings an extensive and varied 25-year career in marketing & sales.

Shefali received her B.S. in Marketing from DePaul University and has been involved with all facets of a non-profit organization — as a volunteer, employee, donor, and board member.

CynthiaGonzalezCynthia Gonzalez serves as the Communications Specialist and joined Giving DuPage in January 2015 part-time, as she pursued her Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing at Aurora University.  Cynthia received her B.S. in Communications from AU with a double concentration in Spanish.  Among her many accomplishments, Cynthia was a recipient of the Latino Lideres Award, Phenomenal Women Leaders Award and the Aurora Hispanic Heritage Board Leadership Excellence Award.

With deep roots in her home town of Aurora, Cynthia is looking forward to making a difference throughout DuPage County in her role at Giving DuPage.

samSamantha Kubwimana joined Giving DuPage November 2016 full-time, as an AmeriCorps Member – Frontline Families. Samantha has a Bachelor Degree from Western Illinois University in Social work. Samantha interned with World Relief in the Legal and Youth Services department and has over 3 years of administrative assistant experience.

Samantha has been a DuPage resident for over 15 years and feels passionate about serving her community and the veteran population.

cindyCindy Carlson joined Giving DuPage November 2016 part-time, as an AmeriCorps Member – Frontline Families. Cindy has a Bachelor Degree from National Louis University in Social & Behavioral Sciences and is a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor. Cindy worked with Leyden Family Services, The SHARE Program for 13 years at their Utilization Review Coordinator.

Cindy has been a DuPage resident for 23 years and is looking forward to serving Veterans & Military Families in her role at Giving DuPage.

danDan joined Giving DuPage November 2016 part-time, as an AmeriCorps Member – Frontline Families. Dan is a retired Security Administrator and a Disabled Veteran, and currently serves as the Service Officer for American Legion Post 556. Dan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is a Certified Peer Support Specialist for Veterans with a certificate in Veterans Counseling.

Dan is looking forward to working alongside local DuPage veterans and military families.
